The galvanized staples featured on these pages are all part of the 3/8” crown C series available from Fastener USA. While their title describes them as appropriate for upholstery, they are also useful for other purposes.
Because they are manufactured from twenty-two gauge, galvanized steel wire, they contain a thin coating of zinc that can help prevent corrosion. That said, after a certain amount of time, they will corrode, especially if used outdoors. You will notice several other attractive qualities about these galvanized staples.
You can purchase these 3/8” crown C series products in a variety of configurations to meet your needs. Several lengths ranging from 3/16” to 5/8”, with many increments in between, are available. In addition, you can buy quantities ranging from a box of 10,000 to a case of 20 boxes. If you buy a case, you save over $100 versus the comparable cost of 20 individual boxes. You also save on purchases through free shipping.
Be careful not to use galvanized staples on pressure treated lumber because the zinc coating will react with the chemicals in the lumber, causing rust and deterioration of the staples and discoloration of the wood. Fortunately, you will also find 3/8” crown C series stainless steel staples on these pages. These can be used on pressure treated wood and will resist corrosion outdoors better than the galvanized staples.
Stainless steel staples are more expensive than their galvanized cousins. Fortunately, you will see smaller packages available on these pages. You can buy 1,000 stainless steel staples for about the price of 10,000 galvanized ones, but it could be worth your while because the stainless versions will endure better in outdoor applications.
Regardless of the application for which you use these products, you will be very satisfied with the quality, pricing and free shipping. Take a look at the many customer testimonials on these pages.
