Shake and Shingle Nails for Wood Shakes and Siding too

Shake (shingle) nails are small headed nails to use for nailing wood shakes and shingles. While typically used in Wood Shake & Shingle applications these nails can also be used in some wood siding and light duty general purpose applications.

Only available in Ring Shank (a.k.a. annular thread) which dramatically increases holding power. Ring shank has threaded rings that are cut into the shank of the nail helping it grip the wood fibers as it's being driven. Ring shank is much less likely to back-out over time.

The special 7/32" head diameter is just the right size for shake and shingle applications. Coming in at just under 1/4" diameter; the head has just enough surface area to securely hold down the material. Unlike roofing nails the head is not overly noticeable when used in face nailing applications. Checker pattern on heads blends with faux wood grain, reduces glare from sunlight and accepts surface finishes.

Our Shake and Shingle Nails are available in two grades of corrosion resistance including 304 Grade Stainless Steel, and 316 Grade Stainless Steel:

304 Grade Stainless Steel is best suited for typical outdoor applications to avoid nail corrosion and discoloration. ACQ-treated lumber, redwood, cedar, and acidic or oil-based exotic woods.

316 Grade Stainless Steel is best suited for tropical, seaside, salt water contact applications, or any project near large bodies of water. Recommended for all outdoor applications with ACQ-treated lumber, redwood, cedar, and acidic or oil-based exotic woods where Marine Grade fasteners are needed to avoid unsightly stains, streaks, corrosion and discoloration.

For wood siding applications, check out our Hand Drive Siding Nails. Contact our experts here at FastenerUSA for assistance on choosing the right nail for your project.
