You are installing insulation on a house. Maybe you are covering your own house or attic, or you are a house wrapper, who insulates homes as part of your profession. You are not a fan of staple guns because they are heavy and dangerous. In addition, they are not nearly as fast, affordable or practical as a tacking stapler for fastening insulation. If you need tacker staples for your hammer tacker, you will be happy to see the choices available on these pages.
You can purchase staples for the 3/8" crown A19 series for the Rapid 19 hammer tacker right here. If you are installing insulation on your own home, a box of 5,000 tacker staples should be enough for your needs. The price is low and shipping is free. If you are a professional installer who goes through large volumes of staples, you can buy a case containing twenty boxes that costs less than eight times the amount of one box. A case is the way to go if you know you will need large volumes of the 3/8" crown A19 series for the Rapid 19 staples. It is a real bargain.
You will be happy to know that these staples are galvanized through electroplating so they will resist corrosion. That said, the resistance is time limited because the zinc coating is very thin. Also, the zinc coating will react with the chemicals in ACQ treated wood, so it is advisable not to use these tacker staples on such lumber. This should not be a problem if you are using them for insulation purposes.
If you are new to insulation installation, you need not worry about the ¼ inch length of these staples. The legs of the staples will easily penetrate thick fiberglass batting and bite into the wood below.
