These 1 1/4" length #2 Square drive Pan Head BLACK OXIDE Face Framing #7 woodworking screws are #6-9 (9 threads per inch) COARSE THREAD for Softwoods. Black oxide is a conversion coating used to add mild corrosion resistance and for appearance. SQUARE DRIVE prevents stripping of recess (cam out) providing superior driving power. Type 17 point (also known as Auger Point) is a thread cutting screw for wood with a coarse tapping screw thread and a special long sharp point fluted to capture chips which provides no predrilling and reduces wood splitting. Each box contains approximately 8,000 screws (34 pounds)
