8-Gauge 16d Hot-Dip Galvanized Class D Connector Nails

An excellent choice for achieving maximum load values in connectors. These Metal Connector Joist-Hanger nails are 3-1/2" length, .162" (8 Gauge) SMOOTH shank Hot-Dip Galvanized ASTM A153 Class D with a 11/32" diameter head, regular diamond point. Each Retail Pack contains approximately 40 nails.

Hot-dip galvanization that meets the standards of ASTM A153. Hot-dip galvanized fasteners have a minimum of 1.0 oz/ft2 of zinc coating. Hot-dip galvanized fasteners are in compliance with the 2006, 2009, and 2012 International Building Code and the 2006, 2009, and 2012 International Residential Code.

These coated fasteners possess a level of corrosion resistance that makes them suitable for use in some exterior and corrosive environments and with some preservative-treated woods. For applications in higher-exposure applications, consider Type-300 series stainless-steel fasteners for superior corrosion resistance. Choose Type 316 stainless steel when using stainless steel connectors.

Joist hangers, foundation anchors, seismic and hurricane straps and ties, post caps and bases and other metal framing hardware. Can be used with some preservative-treated woods.
