OLYLOK14 OlyLok Locking Impact Nail for Gypsum, Tectum & Lightweight Concrete

The OMG OlyLok Locking Impact Nail is designed to secure base ply and recovery board to lightweight insulating concrete, cementitious wood fiber and poured gypsum decks. OlyLok is Factory Mutual and MiamiDade approved.

Coating

• OlyLok nails are preassembled and consist of three components: tube, disk and locking staple.
  1. Tube:Galvanized (G-90) coated steel
  2. Disk:Galvalume (AZ-55) coated steel
  3. Locking Staple: High tensile coated steel wire.

Application

• OMG OlyLok Locking Impact Nails should always be embedded in the structural roof deck to a depth of at least 1.25-inch (32mm).
• Drive fastener perpendicular to roof deck, seating cap flush with roofing surface. Once tube is set, drive the locking staple through the tube/disk unit into the deck until the top of the staple is flush with the cap.
• Fastening Pattern: Consult roof cover manufacturer for recommended fastening patterns.
• Note: On-site withdrawal testing may be necessary to evaluate the ability of the roofing substrate to satisfactorily accept and retain the OlyLok fastener. Such testing may alter fastener selection and modify applicable fastening patterns. Uplift resistance may vary depending on the density and integrity of the substrate.
