E-Coat SDW TRUSS-PLY Screws SDW22458

These screws are 4 5/8" length (1 7/16" thread length), 0.22" diameter, T40 6-Lobe star drive. E-Coat. The Strong-Drive® SDW Truss-Ply screw is a high-strength structural wood screw specifically designed for fastening multi-ply wood members, such as joining plated trusses and solid-sawn lumber. The SDW installs easily with no pre-drilling and is available in optimized lengths for fastening 2-, 3- and 4-ply trusses. With the SDW Truss-Ply screw, multi-ply trusses and beams can be fastened from one side without requiring the lifting and flipping of heavy assemblies. Each box contains 600 screws.

Technical installation data

E-Coat is an Electrocoating which utilizes electrical current to deposit the coating material on the fastener. After application, the coating is cured in an oven. Electrocoating provides a minimum amount of corrosion protection and is intended for dry, non-corrosive applications only.

Applications Include:
Truss-Ply Fastening. Typical screw application is Solid-sawn dimensional lumber and plated wood trusses. If assembly is less than or equal to 4 9/16" thick, use the SDW22438. If assembly is less than or equal to 6 3/16" thick, use the SDW22600.
